Measure the entry of the room to see if you could fit the safe through, add few more inches and if you have stairs make sure they are strong enough to hold the weight of the safe.

Third, Depending on the size of the safe, from small fire safe to a large gun safe, prices can be reasonable or very expensive. 

Just remember, when you purchase a safe you get what you pay for, more money, better quality, just look at it as an investment, it last for a life time. Lastly, when purchasing a safe you need to determine what you will store in it and what is the worth of it. for example- jewelry, coins, cash etc should be stored in burglary safes. storing papers, passport and valuable assets can be stored in a fire safe, fire safes on the other hand will keep your paper safe from a fire but won't keep burglars out of your fire safe. It is possible to make the burglar safe fire proof by adding a small amount of fire proof shielding material
